From great distance we have spoken

Our love has been kindled,
In words our love has risen,
Across language and miles...
 
My love for you was instant
The connection so intense
Called by the spirit
In my soul, in my heart...
 
I love you for who you are
Your spirit I know so well
I will love you to my dying breath
And in heaven above...
 
I long to hold you, to speak
Words without sounds,
To live beside you, my wife,
Forever, eternally, Amen.

Turning to touch, to enter you,
Smelling your waters rising,
In a dream ready to explode…
 
Drawn to your waters,
Your fountain of my delight,
Dipping my tongue inside you,
As the river flows of love…
 
Like a kitten to a bowl of warm cream,
Waking you from your passion,
Your dream is a reality together,
As we join in ecstasy…

You are my undiscovered country,
the missing piece of myself,
my hope in the darkness,
When all around me is lost...
 
You are my homeland,
the place where I find rest
like iron sharpening iron
You are muse to my words...
 
I long, I yearn, to explore you,
to walk with you as in a verdant forest
to love you, to hold you, to cherish you
Forever, above all else...
 
You are my guide star,
the home I come home to
my hope, primal, urgent,
For without you I am lost...
 
I long to hold you,
to look into your eyes,
to tell you face-to-face,
What I have tried to say...
 
You are my undiscovered country,
not to conquer but like our own Eden
the garden of my heart
Where I long to dwell...

Like tears in rain – v6 #BladeRunner #Alzheimers #Dementia

A silent scream of loss, of regret,
of losing control, existence,
in our inner self, our identity,
Flowing out of us, pouring,
Becoming perfect, dissolution…
into a great unknown…

Like tears in rain, waters intermingled,
melting, sharing, dissolving, dispersing,
moments, lost in oblivion, in minutes,
falling into nothingness, union,
Who we were in life…
seemingly Lost in time...

Our lives, our memories, our essence,
becoming part of a vast ocean, water,
the pool of the universe, matter,
of time and infinite space,
An expiration date, a release…
Eternity, a pool deep, profound...

Like tears in rain, waters intermingled,
melting, sharing, dissolving, dispersing,
moments, lost in oblivion, in minutes,
falling into nothingness, union,
Who we were in life…
seemingly Lost in time...

One with the living waters, blending,
a place of peace and happiness,
Eternity, an ocean, spreading,
perfect dilution, immortality -
Heaven, becoming eternal…
one with the universe…

When it is our time to die…

Words call me – v2

Words call me, urgent,
I am their servant,
I turn toward them,
leaning into the message,
their cry to my spirit,
to my hands beginning to write…
 
Words speak to me
they are my muse,
words call me, now,
when I am not ready,
when I pay attention,
driving, walking about…
 
Words call me, suddenly,
they woo, they challenge me,
they cry out in despair,
sometimes they shout for joy,
urgent, passionate, emotive words,
words of power, of light…
 
Words will not wait,
I must stop, I must write,
I must remember, to save them,
for the words can be fleeting,
gossamer pulled from the ether,
to be capture, to be written down…

Fill yourself with Christ,
our lives overflowing,
with joy, with gratitude,
with love, with compassion…
 
Fill yourself with Christ,
the blood of our Lord, Jesus,
let Love overwhelm you,
gifting you in this life…
 
Fill yourself with Christ,
in our hearts, our spirits,
with the good things of God,
all that is good, all that is noble…
 
Fill yourself with Christ,
let His blood wash you,
let joy fill you, heal you,
may you sing for joy…
 
Fill yourself with Christ,
Son of our Father,
the Lamb, the Sacrifice,
the source of our life…
 
Fill yourself with Christ,
with the Word, scripture,
may God’s words be on our lips,
our lives witness to God’s goodness,
when we are shaken, may love pour out…

Nature calls us
dwelling all around us
in whispers of colors,
in the rustling leaves,
wooing of the water,
texture, the smells, alive,
murmuring of creation
calling to us, to our spirits.
to our hearts, to our minds….
 
Nature calls us
to stop, to listen,
the muse of our spirits,
to draw closer to mystery,
joy in each moment, present,
to the sound, light, awakening,
power of each moment,
life all around us, now,
calling to each of us…

What is in your cup,
what is deep within you,
the vessel of your spirit,
broken clay, your body,
that you have been given…
 
What is in your cup,
what you pour within you,
what you let take hold
of your spirit, your soul,
within your daily walk…
 
What is in your cup
defines what you offer,
what pours out of you,
when you are bumped,
when you are shaken…
 
What is in your cup,
your clay, your broken vessel,
who you are, how you serve,
is defined by what is your cup,
for that is what you pour out…

Awakening the Muse – v3

Asleep within me, the muse of my heart
You, oh Holy Spirit, waiting for me,
Looking within, the words still there, waiting,
finding voice, freedom, when I still myself to Thee.
 
Speak to me, Holy Spirit eternal,
give me Your words to offer, to share,
find me willing, in the quiet of my soul, my spirit,
teach me to share Your message, Love to the world.
