Beyond our imagination – v2

Beyond our imagination,
our vision, what we can see,
the life God has created, that Christ
has prepared for us in paradise…

We conjure ancient words,
reading our bibles, living water,
streets of God, angels, singing,
but we have no idea, really, truly,
of what God has prepared for us…

Beyond our imagination, our vision,
the streets of gold in heaven above,
the angel chorus, God’s throne room
what God has prepared for us in paradise…

An assurance beyond comprehension – v2

God’s promise to us daily,
An assurance beyond comprehension,
To love, to provide for us,
To walk right beside us…

More than we believe,
more than we can fathom,
endless bounty, a blessing,
more than our eyes can see…

An assurance beyond comprehension,
The promise God gives us,
To walk beside us on the road,
To never leave or forsake us.

Will our days be numbered in eternity - v2

Will our days be numbered in eternity,
will we know the passage of time,
time to count our blessings,
blessings too many to number
Numbers that go on and on...

Will we meet our loved ones that have gone before,
will we remember our lives on earth,
earth where we toiled, where we lived and died,
died to rise to heaven, to come into the presence,
The presence of our risen Lord, our God...

just the cross – v4

Nothing of the world

the arguments in nature

nothing of debate

of human wisdom

just the cross

the path of Christ

The power of the Spirit

God working within us

within our hearts;

Speaking directly to us

truth the start, the way

the path of Christ

Nothing of wisdom

of flowery language

nothing of the way of the world

just the cross

the path of Christ

that alone saves us

through the Spirit speaking – v2

the mystery revealed

the truth of Jesus, the Christ

of His love, of His sacrifice

His body broken for us

through the Spirit speaking

nothing I ever said myself

the power of God working

in each human heart

plain speaking – v2

Not with flowery language

some philosophical argument

not debating in the gate

seeking to win the day

Plain speaking only

of the foolishness of the cross

God’s power more than wisdom

to sanctify our hearts

just the cross – v3

nothing of the world

arguments in nature

nothing of debate

of human wisdom

just the cross

the power of the Spirit

God working within us

within our hearts

speaking directly to us

truth the start

nothing of wisdom

of flowery language

ways of the world

just the cross

divine wisdom – v2

divine wisdom

knowing the mind of God

a gift of the Spirit

the Spirit within

revealed in Christ

hidden for ages

life in the teaching

in his journey in life

showing the Father

Love is God, only

hidden for the ages

revealed in Christ alone

until then a mystery – v2

Wisdom of God

Love of the ages

hidden, unknown

until then a mystery

God sent Jesus

revealing God’s Love

God’s essence, God’s presence

the meaning of the Law

how we are to live

how we are to act

how we are to love

hidden for ages

until then a mystery

revealed in Jesus

at God’s time alone

a gift to hear the Spirit

to touch the face of God

to feel the Savior with us

a gift to hear the Spirit

calling within us

to know the wisdom

the mind of the Creator

to walk with the Savior

in our walk on the earth

a gift to hear the Spirit

calling deep within us

guiding us if we will let it

protecting us where we tread
