Speaking in the voice of God

A love letter to us, if we will listen,
every word from the breath of God
each promise, each law, each story
a message of hope, of connection,
of our mortality, our immortality,
of our eternal kinship with God.
 
In the first person, speaking to us,
everything about the goodness of God;
wanting connection, promising forgiveness,
our loving Father, our risen Brother,
the indwelling Spirit calling to us,
forever running to meet us out on the road.
