Shout Christ – v2

Shout Christ
God incarnate
The Word alive
come from heaven
to share God’s love

Shout Christ
our Lord, our Master
Proclaim victory
God’s love greater
than all our sin

Shout Christ
the One promised
Join in worship
Live anew
in his arms

Shout Christ
the One to free us
Our Savior
giving all
that we may live

Shout Christ
every member
Join the chorus
the saints before us
Join in their song

Fight the Good Fight

All of us charged
commissioned, anointed
tasked to fight
lest the enemy win

To fight for Christ
that all would know him
our shoulder to the wheel
our hands to the plow

Picking up our cross, our yoke
our piece of his work
sharing God’s love
so all will hear

Sowing seeds
that they may grow
the soil of hearts
a harvest to behold

Saving a Murderer

Christ came to save
the world, all of us sinners
the whole human race

Saving a sinner like Paul
a murderer of the faith
becoming a witness for him

His testimony reminding us
the depth of God’s love
healing him utterly
the one who bore the cross

Serving as Paul did
to such we are called
that all would know
the grace of God
who saved a sinner like me

Came into the World

The words of Paul
declaring clearly
the choice of Christ
to descend, to become a man

Christ eternal
alive before time
“came into the world”
to say you and me

Taking off the mantle
the crown of his divinity
emptied of power
to humbly walk the earth

Came into the world
humbly, as a child
anointed in servanthood
to drink the cup of sorrow

Choosing to come
descended from above
to the cross he went
choosing to sacrifice
that we would live
