hiding behind a mask of friendship

offering an open hand to us

yet hiding a heart of darkness

not true to the creed

not wanting belonging

sharing with those

they view beneath themselves

others too timid to speak

hiding in the bushes

hiding behind a mask of friendship

but a blight upon the land

those who seek division

who judge their fellow man

Seek Me and Live – v3

God calls to us

His voice from Heaven;

Calling to our aching hearts

when we have gone astray.

Like the shepherd calling

to lost sheep wandering;

Away from the flock

in the dark wilderness.

Let go of the world

temptations, false treasure;

Seek Me and live

He calls to our hearts.

Wanting us to turn

to come back to Him;

His arms open wide

seeking our embrace.

Justice Alive – v3

God in His judgment seat

ready to judge the nations

all the people of the earth

walking here below.

Calling us, as He did the nation

to repent of this world

to change our ways

and turn to Him.

Justice alive, flowing onward

a never-ending stream

brimming with life,

with life everlasting.

Love for our neighbors

as He has commanded;

God in His judgment seat

hiding behind a mask of friendship – v4

a snake in the grass, a wolf in sheep’s clothing

hiding behind a mask of friendship

offering an open hand

yet hiding a heart of darkness

different in the flesh, exposed

not faithful in the path, the journey

true to the creed, our belief

not truly offering true kindness

the mockers on the sideline, calling

they sit in mocking judgment

power corrupting, ultimately,

others too timid to speak

needing to speak boldly, out loud

hiding in the bushes, as if they were in Oz,

hiding behind a mask of friendship

but a blight upon the land

not faithful in the path, the journey

true to the creed, our belief

not truly offering kindness

they sit in mocking judgment

power corrupting

others too timid to speak

hiding in the bushes, as if they were in Oz,

hiding behind a mask of friendship

but a blight upon the land
