In the singular, special,

One gift

for the Kingdom;

One gift

to be used in service;

One gift

offered to God to use;

Many talents,

One gift;

Many gifts from God

but One gift to share.

The One gift special,

One gift more than the others,

to be given to God

in His service;

The One gift that is different

given to us to witness;

A light we have been gifted

for the world;

Not to be hidden, to be mingled,

with the other gifts given;

One gift to offer,

One gift to share.

We are buoyed up,

raised, we are lifted;

We soar on the thermals

on the gifts of God’s love

We fly, we climb towards the heavens;

We walk with the saints

those who have gone before

who have following the Christ

We rise, we soar

on the wings of love;

We are bound to one another

rising together as one

Each one on the journey with us

to be the light, to be Christ’s presence;

We are to be His hands and feet

to serve God’s people now

guided by your hand

sharing our gifts richly

our seeds scattered

a harvest, a bounty,

in God’s time alone
