as we prepare
while we are waiting
even when we doubt...
we must be in the vineyard,
in the fields, on the street,
sharing the Good News,
being Jesus’ hands and feet...
 
being ready...
means planting, watering,
preparing the good soil...
 
of human hearts
not sitting at home
with our open bibles...
we are to seek
to increase God’s harvest,
to increase God’s joy,
in heaven above...

The rain is coming
The judgment, the King,
coming on the clouds
to cleanse the earth...
 
God saves the one lost sheep,
celebrate for those who come home
like each prodigal son
before He returns

for we do not know
the hour, the moment....
Only God knows...

He is not here – v2

He is not here, take heart,
he is risen like our Lord, Jesus,
his body here is but an empty shell,
we too will rise with him, triumphant,
when Christ gathers us home…
 
Words of hope, of life, eternal,
these words of our living faith,
righteous words of salvation,
peace for heart of his loved ones,
all those he has left behind…
 
He is not here with us,
he is alive in Christ Jesus,
we who are left behind hurt,
but he is no longer in any pain,
he is home now in heaven…

He is not here

Words of hope, of life
words of our living faith,
righteous words of salvation,
calming the heart of his loved ones,
all those he has left behind…
 
He is not here, take heart,

may we remember the steps – v3

from the beginning,

the start of a people,

from Abraham,

the father of our faith,

may we remember the steps

the covenant journey

the gift of  a child

of descendants, so many,

too many to number,

too many to count,

like stars in the sky,

like sand by the oceans,

given to the faithful, in covenant;

walking with God,

journeying in the land

of hope, of the promise,

of the covenant with God
