sitting at the well

offering love to others

living waters of Jesus 

there a Jacob's well...

all the tribes had been there 

before kings, before the schism,

before they were divided 

this holy ground...

washing away the veil

the curtain of the schism 

offering water to her

to seal the ancient breach...

Lead Us Home

Lord, on this journey of life
walking in your steps
seeking to follow you
all of our lives
going in your service
spreading the message of love

Lead us home, returning
to our master in heaven
give us words of repentance
turning from our past
Sharing with us God’s promise
taking us home
into the arms of God

As Jacob before Esau

Trembling at the altar
the gates of eternity
as Jacob before Esau
some day each of us shall be

Aware of our history
what we have done
coming before our maker
when our life on earth is done

Bowing humbly
at our savior’s feet
rising into his arms
claimed as children of God

Humbling Ourselves before Our Children

Confessing when we are wrong
going to the altar rail
falling to our knees
confessing our sins to the father
humbling ourselves even
visible by our children
coming on our knees
before almighty God
