Like hungry seeds, thirsty souls

ready for God’s living waters

yearning, seeking after God

our ministry, our service

in this troubled world

our calling, our purpose

reaching out, reaching

planting seeds of love

in one heart at a time.

Reach out, seek, find

ways to touch even one heart

one person hurting, struggling,

spreading God’s love

Christ’s message, our hope,

to hearts that are ready

like hungry seeds, thirsty souls

ready for God’s living waters.

Into the Living Waters – v2

Following his call, the urging

the calling of God deep within him

throwing starfish back into the ocean

so many starfish, miles of beach

saving those he can, one at a time.

We each walk that beach

the world so vast, so lonely,

so many do not know

the indwelling of God’s Spirit,

the message of Jesus Christ.

Gently cast the starfish

back into the living waters

saving one at a time

accepting the grace of Christ

the ocean of God’s love.

Saving Starfish – v2

Following his calling,

felt deep within himself

what he feels told to do

saving starfish on the beach

returning them to life,

to the living waters

deep in God’s love.

The vastness of God’s love

walking the shoreline

taking them, one at a time

throwing them, giving them

back to the waters

fed within the living waters

deep in God’s love.

This One Will Live – v2

The voices, the world,

shouting, seeking to stop us

telling us the lies, the conceit,

that they are not worth saving

that it is not worth the effort;

so many starfish, so many miles

unable to change the world.

Ignoring the doubts,

the judgment of the world;

this one will live,

one life at a time

thrown into the sea;

toiling as he had been called

to save the starfish.

Called to the water’s edge

his purpose, his gift

his calling from the Spirit

casting the starfish

back into the sea;

Making a difference

one action at a time.

Never Too Old – v2

Strength from the Lord,

The calling of our Master;

New tasks to perform

gifts, fruits to share

Never too old, able

to begin a new world

God stirring inside of us

changing our lives;

Conformed to His will

doing what we are called to do

God will provide

all that we need;

Trust in His loving hand

He is there by our side in all of our trials

in Him we find rest when the work is done
