The Beam of His Light

Into the darkness
the beam of his light
shining brightly
that all would see

The living God
walking upon the earth
by his death and rising
giving eternal birth

Into the shadows
redeeming us from death
the light of his message
a testament of God’s love

Cutting through the fog, the chaos
piercing the dark
the light of God’s hope
calling to each one of us

Making a way through the darkness
showing us a way home
our task to take up the beacon
shining light for the whole world
