Show me the #Garden, #Lord – v2

I can only see the wall

not the beautiful garden behind it;

I don’t see the door

that God is planning to open.

Show me the garden, Lord,

behind the wall of my circumstances;

Open the door only you can

to a place of abundance, overflowing,

My vision is so weak,

I need new eyes, glasses;

I stare at the darkness, the ground,

when my hope is in heaven.

Shine into my life, Lord,

lift the scales from my eyes;

Make a way through my darkness,

to a place of abundance, overflowing.

Show me the garden, Lord,

behind the wall of my circumstances;

Open the door only you can

to a place of abundance, overflowing,

Shine into my life, Lord,

I can only see the wall

I can only see the wall

not the beautiful garden behind it;

I don’t see the door

We are to love – 3 – v4

We are to love,

to be love in this darkness,

to light others’ paths,

this is our calling;

We are not to judge, to cajole,

that is not our purpose.

We are to love,

to be clay of the Potter,

to bend to God’s will,

molded, fired in the kiln;

We are to be light,

to unite with our neighbors.

We are to love,

to shine, to witness,

to be the light of Jesus

to be love come alive;

We are not to harp, to chide,

to sow discord, division.

We are to love

our calling from the beginning,

to share freely, to shine brightly,

to live out our purpose;

We are to be kind, empathic,

to lighten others’ load.
