Wanting to be used
my prayer, yet your choice
hoping to be clay
a vessel of your love
Clay in your hand
to be shaped, transformed
the dross of my life
cast off, restored

Faithful to your touch
the loving hand of God
giving to your tug
your call for my life
the pull of your breath
your Spirit within me
coaxing me, calling
up from my seat, my pew
my comfort
speaking your words, your law

Thankful to the Devil

A harbinger of witness
the word to the Corinthians
thankful to the devil
for a foretaste of damnation
the fire in forbidden love
drinking of the goblet
the lust of the flesh

A harbinger of witness
the fall of mortal man
submitting to false pleasures
away from the great I Am
turning the temple
the place of the Spirit
filth in licentiousness
mocking our Savior

Reverence for the temple – v2

Our bodies, the temple
a dwelling place for God
the Spirit indwelling
in our hearts and mind

Reverence for the temple
in all we say and do
worthy of Christ’s example
changing our point of view

Mindful of who is watching
seeing if we are faithful
trying to be humble
to walk with our Savior

Reverence for the temple
our bodies, our lives
serving our Master
in this time and place
