He is not here

Words of hope, of life
words of our living faith,
righteous words of salvation,
calming the heart of his loved ones,
all those he has left behind…
 
He is not here, take heart,
he is risen like our Lord, Jesus,
his body here is but an empty shell,
we too will rise with him, triumphant,
when Christ gathers us home…
 
He is not here with us,
he is alive in Christ Jesus,
we who are left behind hurt,
but he is no longer in any pain,
he is now home in heaven…
