scars that never heal
Izium, Kharkiv, Odesa, Poltava, Kherson,
too many towns in the crosshairs,
scars that never heal, bleeding,
wounds constantly being reopened,
rage against these innocent people,
merely wanting to survive…
 
living memories, present, with them,
not history, forgotten, receding,
scars that never heal, open,
a testament to resolve, to anger,
genocide against these people, victims,
like Abel crying from the blood, the soil…
 
Izium, Kharkiv, Odesa, Poltava, Kherson,
too many towns in the crosshairs,
scars that never heal, bleeding,
because their neighbor is evil,
spawn of Satan, of Mordor,
spewing the bile of terror,
attrition, genocide…
