a little more hope – v2

the well of our faith empty
no gas in the tank
working on fumes
a little more hope
a new portion of the Spirit
needed for the journey
for our walk of faith

we struggle, we worry
as if we are in control
as if we alone can fix
the problem, the situation
when the path, the journey
the steps we are taken
have already been written

we need to trust
to have a little more hope
a faith to move mountains
or at least to move our feet
we must believe in Christ’s promise
the way has already been written
by our Almighty God
