Listen to the cries of these people,
in hope, in despair, in protest,
crying out for the world, to us,
to come to their aid, to care,
to finally stand beside them…
 
Listen to the cries of these people,
noble, resolute, courageous,
carrying such a heavy burden,
one we would not choose
standing fast against evil…
 
Listen to the cries of these people,
for support, for justice, for peace,
guiding us into a future, a promise,
hope for the days ahead, that victory,
a just peace would come…
