Grasping clouds from the ether – v2

The whispers of God,
His messages to us, for us,
captured in the noise, the voices,
the prattling chorus, striving,
to catch our thoughts, our attention,
to keep us from hearing, truth,
God’s murmur, His whisper,
His calling, His purpose,
our hope, our joy in this life…
 
Grasping clouds from the ether,
in our mortal hands, our clay,
the heavens, the sky, a cacophony,
holding onto the whispers, the call,
from our Creator, our Savior, our God,
blocking out the noise, the sirens,
of the world swirling around us,
feeling God’s presence, His Spirit,
calling, whispering to us now…
 
Stilling ourselves within the storms,
the chaos, the maelstrom, our trials,
grounded, centered, in God’s living word,
the promise of God, through Christ, our Savior,
wooing us from the edge, the brink,
the calling of the flesh, the world,
to steal our focus, our resolve, our yearning,
to be God’s faithful servants, to offer ourselves,
to be Christ’s hands and feet, today, right now…
