gathering mud – v4

gathering mud
from the ocean, waters
in an act of creation
to build up Turtle Island
to make this land

gathering stones
to heal the breach
the tear in the fabric
the wound within the circle
a gash of our making

gathering mud
pulling threads
the edges together
rebuilding the circle
of God’s infinite love.
