like a glass plate shattered

a round beautiful glass bowl

gathered, illumined on the altar,

a fragile glass plate shattered

broken circles, shards only

feeling broken, untied

separated one from the other

within the bar, the circle, this home

needing the Holy Spirit

to fall again upon us

to make our words holy

speaking in love to each other

within the circle God created

retying the pulled threads from the fabric

until we again are united,

brothers and sisters in love.
