Keeping my clay moist – v3

My humility, not enough
my pride too much
thinking I can do things
hardening my heart

Only the living water
God’s gentle touch
the Potter lovingly
keeping my clay moist

Even when my heart is hardened
coaxing, wooing me back to Him,
that I might have life, again,
the Potter touching my clay

Pulled ever nearer, closer,
from the darkness into the light
drawing ever closer, nearer,
to my brother, my Savior, the cross
