a living painting – v3

how can I best describe
the young lives I am touching
none of them are truly a blank slate
they all come with history, emotion
each a living painting
adding hue and color
by their own hands
layer upon layer
as each grows into the person
they are meant to be
adding what we can
giving them the tools
the paints, the brushes
setting them free
