God was always there – v3

God was always there

beside me in my trials

but I only see clearly

in the rearview mirror

that God was always there

I know now, more certain,

When I look back

into the mirror, my past,

what has gone before

when I am able to see clearly

God was always there

guiding my journey

with me in the fires

even when  I faltered

when I cursed His name

God was always there

just as He promised.
