There is a winnowing away
a sense of purpose, of focus,
as we fix our eyes on Jesus
we ignore the world
We have hope for the future
as we cleave to Jesus
as we hear the Spirit
guiding our steps
There is joy within us
even through struggle
we join in the chorus
of the saints above.
