thick upon me, my words,
In our language, our
witness,
speaking of how God has
saved us
how, “Christ died for me”,
how he lifted me from my
sin
all of this pungent,
acrid,
the pungent air of self
if our witness is not
balanced
with words more holy
for the glory of God
