Not about God’s glory
about our own feelings
focused on the self
not the bigger picture
In our language, our witness
speaking of how God has saved us
how Christ died for Me
how He lifted Me from my sin
all of this offal, when it stops here,
the pungent air of self
if our witness is not balanced
to the glory of our God
focusing on His love, His grace
not for us only, but for the whole world,
all of God’s children, all who have ever lived
all who will come after, all saved by grace
by the sacrifice of Jesus
