My hope for myself
as we enter into Advent
that I would feel the
light
that I would shun the
darkness
that I would cleave to
Christ
that I would reject the
demons
all that pulls me into the
pit
away from my Savior
all that seeks to destroy
to drag me into hell
My hope is for peace
and certainty of my path
that I might enjoy the
season
and not feel stressed
that I would approach the
manger
and travel the way of the
cross
following my Savior
wherever He would lead me
listening to the Spirit
speaking inside of me
