we call ourselves Christians

saved by Christ,

by His sacrifice

choosing submission

the way of the cross;

but perhaps buyer’s remorse,

yanking at the bit,

fighting the yoke

We want to be faithful;

but we are timid, rebellious

fighting the yoke

while working in the fields
