Christ’s journey to Golgotha
from the streets of Palm Sunday
the Passion Week unfolding
within the walls of Jerusalem
in the Temple, and before Pilate,
in the Upper Room with them
only leaving to go to Bethany
to linger on the Mount of Olives
Praying at Gethsemane, crying out
for the cup to be taken away
but for God’s will to be done
The salvation gift of the cross
the darkness and redemption
all of the journey like this
pain and blessing intermingled
from the manger to the cross
