the question repeated
for us to face it
each of us hearing the
demons
the doubts named, each
one;
“what would you do if you
weren’t afraid?”
an answer different,
separate,
for each one in the room
but the question repeated
so it would be heard.
So much of life, in
waiting,
in hand wringing,
putting stumbling blocks
in our own path.
“what would you do if you
weren’t afraid?”
how many decisions
would have gone the other
way?
