Pungent, sweet, decay
giving up their colors,
deep, rich aroma
maples leaves falling;
Almost like ripe tomatoes
their colors dripping.
Giving off fragrance
in the wet fall morning
offering up for our
pleasure
in this appointed season;
A whisper of the
springtime
of our planting in the
soil.
