sin opened a door

Satan took full advantage
to use my sin against me
my shame kept me silent
when I was abused…
 
Sin opened a door
for the flesh, for Satan,
separating me from God,
from my risen Lord, Jesus…
 
Shame kept me silent
hiding an awful secret
decades far too long
to carry that burden…
 
Sin created a wedge
between me and my Creator,
Satan took full advantage
to hurt me within…
