True Sacrifice

True sacrifice
in the human sense
is given
it is not imposed
the first is righteousness
the latter is suffering
the abuse of power

The people abhor this
what the tyrants commit
making others the sacrifice
to remain in power
shifting their burden
onto another

Christ’s supreme act
the grace of the cross
choosing to take on
the stain of our sin
suffering and dying
that we may live

to remove safety net of town welfare

calling on the NH Legislature
and the Governor
to spare those without a voice
those who need us
from the severe budget cuts
that are currently planned
in HB1 and HB2, etc.
