A perfume of autumn

Beside the way
hanging on the fencing
rich in their dying
the grapes heavy on the vine
Left from other planters
long ago abandoned
a bit of the wild
in the urban setting
between the two businesses
oblivious to the blessing
left for wild creatures
to reap the fall bounty,
a perfume of autumn
