The Stones Would Shout

The loud hosannas,
the shouts of the people
the Pharisees wanting quiet
to deny the Savior
calling to Christ
to silence the crowds
his response amazing
that the stones would shout
the earth proclaim his majesty
if the people were silent
all creation resounding
his triumphal entry
into David’s city
God with us
here and now
