free to turn from God

it is our choice
we are given free will
freedom to choose
free to turn from God
to reject his offer
God’s hands open wide
as the Prodigal’s father
ready to forgive
to redeem us from death
but we are given choice
the path of our lives

this poem and all of the following poems are from The Shack
and are about trying to understand or comprehend
the ideas of free will, predestination,
and omniscience, an all-knowing God.
