Silent witness
the things remaining
offered, not thrown away
giving our excess to them
Not for our treasury
but for His glory
the tailings of the yard
sale
set out as free gifts
At the end of the driveway
the humble neighbors
coming to the offering
left there for them special
To see the faces
hope rising in their eyes
something the others
did not see
While I was mowing
the front lawn
before the church
hearing their thank yous
offered up to God
