The Fire of the Spirit

the spark of life

the church, born

birthed, in fire

in light

The lamb, Christ

the perfect sacrifice

unblemished, anointed

a fragrant offering

pleasing to God

Christ on the altar

the fire of the cross

taking on our sin

dying for us instead

paying our price

God, the Messiah

drinking the cup of sacrifice

walking the way, obedient

going down into the grave

the place of the dead

Rising to paradise

on the other side

from the pit of the tomb

ascending to heaven

that we may walk with God again
