When the Scales are Balanced – v3

At the end of the age
oh at the end of time
when the scales are balanced
when all is put to right
the judgment before us;
Lord, may it be life.

God judging, in the end simple.
The world, corrupted
as man has made it;
the garden spoiled
in sin we were rejected
separated from God.

God is perfect, God is love,
and God has conquered,
by the sacrifice of Christ,
sin and death forever,
in Christ the victory
on the hill of Calvary.

Because Christ is risen,
we all can rise with Him
from the deep waters, from death;
Something already done, completed,
Good has triumphed over evil
forever and for all times.

We are saved God's grace alone,
not by our works
anything we could do;
His redeeming love,
has saved us,
from the grave, the tomb.

So long as we can come to God
humbly, without guile,
on our knees, humbly,
as a little child,
open to His call
to His witness for us.

Letting go of all the layers
the layers of things
all of the stuff
the world puts onto us.
All that is in the way,
keeping us from God.
