dying for their sins

dying for their sins
a humble Messiah
not a conquering King,
more subtle;
showing mercy
choosing to die
climbing the cross for us
choosing to dies
to take our stain on Him
to be made sin
even those who betrayed Him
those who shouted, “Crucify!”,
that morning before Pilate
choosing to die
the humble Messiah
submitting to crucifixion
upon our cross.
