No one there to speak
the truths that they know
empty witness chairs
a rule barring relevant
evidence;
What conclusion can they
reach
when the witnesses aren’t
there?
Relying on skills
they may not have at all;
unsubpoenaed truths
hanging in the air;
Not on the record
the witnesses were not there.
