All they could see
what they could believe,
the fact before them
not willing to break free
All Christ was to them
just Joseph and Mary’s son,
the carpenter, the
neighbor,
certainly not God
Unable to break free
to see with God’s sight,
the revelations, the
miracles
scales before their eyes
