So many children – v4

All around the world,

in our own backyards,

so many children

sleeping in poverty;

So many dying

when they should live

So many wars

dividing nations

no water, no food,

nothing to eat;

So many children

caught in the middle.

Warring factions

nowhere to run

so many dying

when there is plenty;

How do we sleep soundly

each night while this continues.
