gathering in circles – v2

they are our earlier memories
sitting, gathering around the campfires
the places of sanctuary
since the beginning of time;
gathering in circles
gathering together
into the circle
together as one

these are our deepest desires,
our one hope of unity,
within the circle
within God’s arms;
to feel God’s love, God’s grace
gathering in circles
together as one people
surrounded in love
