Our Lenten Pilgrimage to the Cross

Our walk, our journey,

our Lenten pilgrimage to the cross

repeating the steps of Jesus, the disciples,

to reach the last, the least, the lost.

Striving for Jerusalem

for Gethsemane, the Upper Room,

dreading the steps to the trial,

to Golgotha, the place of the skull.

Our walk, our journey,

leading to the cross of Christ

to the place of sorrows

but beginning with shouts of Hosanna

before the cross, the grave.
