flying under the cover of
darkness
like a military invasion,
stealthy,
swallowed up by the inky
blackness,
everything outside the streetlights,
a great thick curtain falling
down.
our driving more like crawling,
silently,
rough earthen subterranean
bunkers
following the faintest of
trails
bomb bursts of the lightening
illuminating the jet-black air.
