touching wet sand

Turning East for a moment
a small detour on my travels;
Maybe stopping for 5 minutes,
feeling the pull of the sea.

 

Hearing the tides, the ocean,
walking towards the dunes;
Touching wet sand, the water,
connecting to the ancient, the primordial,
a simpler time on earth.
