Could it really be happening,
his line shot to the corner,
the game, the Series on the line,
late inning heroics, it all came to this,
To this moment, to this one hit…
A crack of the bat, excitement,
everyone rising to their feet,
a whole nation joining with him,
jumping, praying, pushing,
Willing the ball Fair...
Jubilation, exaltation,
rising to crescendo,
happiness in this moment,
jumping for joy, leaping, our hero,
Around the bases, he ran…
