All about the optics – v2

We live for the spotlight,
On the stage, in the arena,
We draw attention to ourselves,
Seeking earthly rewards…
 
It is all about the optics,
Praise here from others,
Seeking acknowledgement,
From broken creatures of clay…
 
Lowly, yet self-centered,
Narcissists to an extent, inward,
Seeking adorations, praise,
While we walk on the earth…
 
When we should look upward,
To our God in heaven,
We should seek praises,
From eternity, above…
