Someone prayed a curse

Someone called down Satan,
Someone prayed a curse,
That I was condemned in my life,
That I was in league with the Devil…
 
Someone prayed a curse,
Someone raised damnation,
That I would face the wrath,
That I wore the Mark of the Beast…
 
Someone said that I was deceived,
Someone said I was damned as a Christian,
That my country is part of the Great Babylon,
That my country’s enemy is the real Christian…
 
Someone called down a curse,
Someone argued that I wasn’t a Christian,
That my allegiances were unholy, unrighteous,
That my nation was aligned with the Dragon…

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever:
and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and
his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
