Listen to the Prophet

Hear, O Ukraina,
the ancient words,
listen to the prophet,
to his great warning…
 
You will be brought low,
for your rebellion,
turning from your land,
to an awful master…
 
He will cut you down,
as a warning to His people,
in fetters you will toil,
and in chains you will perish…
 
Only then will God redeem,
death of the false Tsar professing,
only then will God redeem,
Ukraina to His bosom…
